  2. What exactly is the benefit of having a an attorney when filing for bankruptcy?
What does the attorney do for you? Their services seem awfully expensive. Do they just file the paperwork for you? I have debts that have been sold off again and again to different collection agencies. Do they track down these BankruptcyAttorney debts for you? I understand the paperwork is complicated, but I don't think it is anything I couldn't handle on my own after reading it over (and the NOLO book.) What services do they provide?
